Two houses on six and a half acres of high desert.
De Casa is a collection of considered houses in extraordinary landscapes. It begins in the Western Hills of Yucca Valley, on a secluded estate of giant boulders and open sky, twenty minutes from Joshua Tree National Park.
There are two houses here. Casa Desierto, a Spanish hacienda with a saltwater pool set into the rocks, and The Cabin House, a small mid-century cabin rebuilt in the Japanese tradition from reclaimed oak, stone, and brick. Each is private. Together they hold twelve.
Every detail is chosen the way the houses were built: slowly, by hand, for rest. Belgian linen. Le Labo in every bath. Kitchens you would cook in at home, if home had a Wolf range and a view of boulders the size of houses.
